Holy Spirit as Your Anti-Virus Security System (Yes, like your computer has)

Before being filled with the Holy Spirit, many people are aware that God points out sin to them on some level. A lot of sins we don’t do because of God pointing out that the sin is bad. And typically, people feel shame for the bigger sins, especially if they hurt someone else. But we still struggle with all sorts of sins, especially in our mind, as it is easier for demons to attack our minds than actually cause us to take a physical action (i.e. lie, cheat, steal, etc.). So, we know it is rather impossible not to sin, and a person who doesn’t think they sin, well they likely suffer from the sin of pride for starters.

So, the Holy Spirit is working, but you have like the most basic security system. Most of us have a firewall on our computer because it’s like free. However, your computer is infected, the viruses have found vulnerabilities and your computer is under attack. Your mind has been continuously under attack since you were a child – demons want you to sin. So, you need an upgrade!

Being Filled with the Holy Spirit – Upgraded Software & Security System

When a person is FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT, they don’t just have a firewall they have the complete anti-virus system. AND you have a change of heart which is like a full software upgrade. Of course, in this case Jesus paid for the upgraded software and security system (on the cross), so it didn’t come out of your checking account. You then can resist sin on a level you know you are not doing on your own, and most people recognize this.

SOFTWARE UPGRADE – GOD CHANGES YOUR HEART:

²⁶ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. – Ezekiel 36:26

¹⁶ This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; – Hebrews 10:16

Demons Attack through Access Points (Doors)

Demons attack through access points (doors in your mind) where they can get you to SIN and cause you anxiety, fear, anger, etc., the same way the hackers look for doors or access points on your computer. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, many doors (access points) just close right away. Grace is working on your behalf.

I know through experience! I had some sinful thoughts that were a habitual that I had not tried to address, fix or work on. After I received the holy spirit, they were gone. The doors that gave them access just closed. God’s grace. Not by my own power, or my own efforts. They were not enjoyable thoughts, every day since I recognize these doors are closed and I know the holy spirit is in me. And this is ONLY one sign of me being born again. Grace is incredible!!

⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. – 1 John 3:9

GOOGLE EXPLAINS THIS WELL: 1 John 3:9 teaches that someone truly born of God cannot live in a lifestyle of consistent, unrepentant sin because God’s spirit (“seed”) resides in them. It does not mean Christians never sin, but that sinning is no longer their default, habitual nature.
Key Interpretations of 1 John 3:9

• Habitual vs. Occasional Sin: The Greek present tense in “does not sin” often suggests the practice or continuation of sin. A true believer may fall into sin, but they cannot live in it, enjoy it, or ignore it as a regular habit.

Back to the Security System…

So, with the full security system, demons try to access through certain doors to cause you to sin, but they go to the door and it’s closed. It is possible, you feel them tugging on the door, you get the warning “this is spam, don’t open this,” and you ignore it, and an attack happens. This could happen for example… because you left yourself vulnerable by staying in relationships with people who cause you to go back to your sinful lifestyle, or watch tv or movies that cause you to have lustful thoughts, or whatever. You can feel it’s bad, but you submit to a desire of the flesh and sin. Obviously, we can have relationships with people who struggle with sin, but some people pull us down into sin.

When you sin, you don’t lose the Holy Spirit, okay. You repent, and you move forward without the shame. You were “sealed with the promised holy spirit (View Ephesians 1:13),” so it is not easy to lose, you truly have to turn your back on God. Religion will teach you to live in “fear.” But we are not called to live in fear (loads of scripture on this). I’ll talk more about fear later, as it is something I spent a lot of time overcoming.

What are Access Points?

Demons have all sorts of access points, sometimes these access points are not even caused by something you did necessarily. For example, they often find their way in through trauma, like if a person was abused as a child or maybe a mom or dad abandoned them, or maybe there was a messy divorce, or something way smaller… a person can suffer from unforgiveness, rejection, loneliness, feeling unloved, and demons find clever ways to draw people to other sins from the wounds they carry.

Just as hacker looks for vulnerabilities – ways to get in, demons know people’s biggest weaknesses, they know what doors they can access to cause people to sin. They know how to keep you locked into certain sins that feel impossible to get free from. BUT the door can be shut. Because God will help you, the Holy Spirit helps fight off a trauma, a wound, a behavioral pattern, and close doors that cause sins.

God will help you with the more complicated access points that demons get in through. BUT listen, after you have the Holy Spirit and with its advanced security system, you are saved. So, this isn’t supposed to stress you out.

God has guided me to more peace than I thought I could have. I have been given lots of scriptures to understand, He gives me ways to explain things, He has given me videos to hear, people to learn from, and articles to read to draw me away from fear and toward more peace.

God wants me to use my wounds, my pain, my struggles, and how I’ve overcome them to help other people have an easier journey toward peace.

You can Obtain MORE Grace

Over time you can obtain more grace! You can close more doors! You can keep upgrading your security system. You can allow the Holy Spirit to fill up more dark corners with His glorious light. Because you actually have an advanced Ai security system that is always learning and developing, it makes sense because you are advanced intelligence, obviously. You learn from scripture, you pray more, you obey God, you learn to put on the armor of God, more doors shut and God gives you more grace in the form of power.

And the Holy Spirit doesn’t just close doors to the enemy. There are more gifts than resisting sin!! God’s grace helps you with spiritual gifts – sharing the gospel truth, and more!!! Of course, you are filled with the Holy Spirit – you are saved!

^“13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,” – Ephesians 1:13

Don’t get confused by religious lies, “When you believed” means you understood you need to repent, because the “message of truth” tells you that you need to repent.

LIE: You do not gain grace from just learning about grace, you don’t gain grace from just believing in grace as a concept, grace is given after you REPENT & RECEIVE the Holy Spirit. What it means to “repent” is incredibly lost on religion and is watered down!

Repenting

You have to turn from sins, but see God doesn’t expect you to figure it all out on your own, He doesn’t tell you that you have to get rid of all your sin before you are saved. He doesn’t wait for you to be perfect in order to repent and receive the Holy Spirit. All He wants is for you to recognize you are in the darkness, a slave to sin, and to take responsibility (feel the weight of the sins that you have done), and desire to turn away from sin knowing it is harmful and keeps you trapped. What an amazing God that after you have the Holy Spirit you have the gift of salvation, and a way to close doors that demons’ access and cause harm, and so much more. He doesn’t expect you to know how to close all the doors immediately, and know where to find them all. You learn and grow spiritually, and He points you to the doors that need to close.

You live then under the Law of the Spirit.

“8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, ² because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you^[a] free from the law of sin and death.” – Romans 8:1-2

God dropped this idea into my head last week, and I just started typing for like an hour straight. I did edit it and remove some stuff and add more stuff later one. I don’t know how to explain this yet. God is working through me, He uses my gifts, my current knowledge, my experience, and my voice, but yet the ideas come from Him, the way the writing is just so easy, I know it isn’t mine to take credit for. God gets the glory!
